Waist Loss
My one year mission to lose my waist instead of weight

One minute “Playout”

I hate my car.

I used to like my car. It’s a nice car. 2001 Chrysler 300m with leather interior. Comfortable.

None of that matters. I hate my car.

When K and I showed up at the park this morning, we took our warmup jog around the baseball fields and did some stretching. Then I pointed and said there is our playout apparatus. He asked if it was in the car. I shook my head. He asked i it was the car. I nodded. He looked at me like I was crazy.

I pulled the car out of the parking space and pointed it straight ahead and told him to get in and gave him a stop watch. I had a simple plan. I would push the car fast as I could and far as I could in twenty seconds with him riding. Then we’d turn the car around and it was his turn to do the same. Our goal was to do this 4 times.

We made it 3 times.

I’m sure the old people walking in the park found it curious to see two large black men on their hands and knees behind a car, contemplating death. It’s pretty amazing how little we cared. We only had two thoughts.

I need more air.

Don’t throw up.

That was probably the hardest 60 seconds of my life. I’m sure I’ll feel real good about my accomplishment. Tomorrow.

Right now? I hate my car.

  1. I hate your car too because 300M’s are fugly

  2. Oh, and did I mention I see 300M’s all the time in the ghetto? They’re ghetto crusiers and I wouldn’t drive one even if it was free.

  3. And you wasted you valuable time just to tell me that? Was it worth it?

  4. Man, I wish I could find someone like you where I’m at to play out with me like this.

    I’m jealous!

  5. lol…funny post.

to be honest…i don’t mind the 300M…it’s a “manly” car. Just consider, for a moment, the dudes who roll around in a dinky little Prius or Civic. Sure these are environmentally friendly vehicles and they ultimately save you a couple of bucks or more on gas. But still…you get NO respect on the road or elsewhere. People just take one look at you and assume that you’re a “punk”…

BTW…interesting weight loss (exercise) concept by pushing your car. I would try to do the same…but I would likely not survive the activity. The EMTs would probably have to call for back-up just to load me onto the ambulance.

    nice post…thanks.

  6. LOL I’d hate my car too if I tried to push it – great work out plan though. Lady Rose

  7. Sounds like an awesome workout. Should make a rig so you can pull the car like in the worlds strongest man competitions.

I am trying to lose my waist as well while packing on muscle. Although I am focusing on fat loss first.

    Stop by my blog sometime.

  8. Good for you two. There’s no substitute for exercise when it comes to weight loss, especially if it’s coupled with a change in diet. Are you two changing your eatig habits? I have a post on my blog on calorie reduction that might interest you, thought I suspect it’s a bit severe for two big guys. In any event, congratulations on the reduction in waist size.

  9. I’ve definitely changed my eating habits. I’m eating five smaller meals per day and I’ve added a lot more veggies to my diet.

  10. Hey, I finally got a friend to commit to playing out with me on Saturday! We’re going to throw a couple of stumps in the back of the truck and go haul them around at a play ground a couple of blocks from here.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

  11. Please do! I will continue to post the different games we come up with.

  12. You wanted to die after that exercise, didn’t you? (:

  13. Yes. Yes I did. But we will do more of that type of stuff this week.
